AOL has unveiled a new brand identity as Aol.(with a period). AOL, once the dominant company, has gone through a patchy phase for the last few years. It hired Tim Armstrong as its CEO recently & has been spareheading the restructing. Now it has unveiled a new brand identity. Also Aol. will spin off from Time warner & will be listed on NYSE from Dec. About 2000 people will be laid from the company. But will all this help Convice the Madison Avenue & Wall Street.? AOL partnered with Wolff Olins, a global brand and innovation consultancy, to develop a brand identity that speaks to the company’s future. Some of the world’s best creative artists, including Universal Everything, GHAVA and Dylan Griffin created art and animations for the brand. When I first saw the logos, with aol. against a gold fish, I was wondering how is a Gold fish related to a web services company. I guess a Better job could have been done desigining the logos.
